For the Love of Ducks

Our daughter Christina has kept ducks here at Lorieneen for years and when she left for University dad took over and now specialises in breeding white Indian runner ducks.

White Indian runner ducks are good egg laying ducks and due to their upright build they are particularly beautifully and funny ducks to have around.

Our ducks are kept in a grass paddock in summer and free range on our holding in winter doing their slug eating duty.

Natural hatchery ‘the sitting duck’

We keep two breeding pairs or trios, and let the ducks breed their own ducklings. The ducks start sitting at end of March/April and we have ducklings for sale from June onwards.

For the small ducks we charge £6, for the fully grown ducks we charge £10. We do hatch bought in eggs from time to time and can offer you an unrelated pair for breeding if you wish which will cost £25.

We also have hatching eggs for sale by arrangement.
